It has been written in the book of life the following, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4.
In order to accomplish the former, from a Christian worldview, we must put Jesus first, others second and we last in third place. It means making the Lord a true priority and serving others to full capacity putting our own interests behind the interest of others. It is our loss but God’s gain.
We are to shine his light, all the days of your lives, not ours in order to be a testimony to others about his true love which is infinite towards us. Jesus came to this world to serve us. We must live go and do likewise. To serve is to love, ladies and gentleman.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14.
We are to serve because He did served first. “ For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 10:45.
Glory be to the holy one. God first, others second, you and I third.
