Know the source of your spiritual battle

Listen carefully: The old you is the source of your spiritual battles! And he is often driven by the spirit of the enemy and his principalities. Before we become Christian’s, we lived by the world’s rules and what is earthly expected of man (or woman). Having lots of money, beautiful women, worldly fame, undeniable beauty… you name it.

Some of these struggles are pride or low self-esteem. In others are anger, lust, anxiety or depression or whatever the struggle.

No wonder why idolatry, envy, lust, and pride are often referred as deadly sins and in us all, especially before we turn Christians. These adjectives describe the lost in every way, the old you and me. In fact, Romans 7:21-23 illustrates the source of our lives struggles which lives dead inside of us.

“So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being. I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.”

We were once bound by the law of Moses. Today, we are saved by God’s grace, instead. Never forget that!! Do good and understand: The process of sanctification exist after salvation in order to refine the brethren into the new creation with the intentions of leaving back the traits of the old man.

Hate what is evil and keep the eye in the Lord.
