God Created Us to Be His People to Others

What a great God we have. In His majesty and glory, we were made to serve Him and Him alone for the elevation of others, as Christ did. As followers of the way, we have the duty to be God’s ambassadors for the truth and be instruments of hope for those who truly need it especially the poor.

Remember what the psalmist has written, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Psalm 19:17. We have the duty to assist the disenfranchised!

A smile, a warm hug, a conversation, a meal, hat or anything you can do to help those in need, including money, are examples of what we all can do to be Godly to God’s people. There is nothing esoteric about the criteria to help others, brethren.

All we have to do is to take action! indulgence is short lived and discouraged by the Lord.

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:15.

We are to follow the steps of Jesus Christ.

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” John 12:26.

This Sunday, be kind to someone. Take the working or not working poor for a meal. Give them a hug or share words of encouragement in Christ Jesus. Be what the Lord made you to be — ambassadors of truth and instruments of hope to the millions of brothers and sisters in Christ who need help.

I pray that you go and do likewise as we learn from Luke 10:37. God bless you all.
