Ladies and gentleman, let’s not forget what is written in scripture, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” We are going to make mistakes and sin but in Jesus, we are going to sin less overtime if we repent. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
God is going to know if we sin or not regardless. We might as well do good and repent from our sins. Adam and Eve tried to trick and blame God for their pitfalls without repentance and it didn’t work well for them, right?
In Genesis 3:12 we are informed about Adam’s response to erring against God’s commands as it is written, “The man said, “The woman you put here with me–she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it. He blamed the woman, not himself and didn’t repent. We pay a price because of him – Death. “The wages of sin is death “ Romans 6:23.
Eve made the same error by blaming the serpent when God asked her “what I’ve you done?” and replied not blaming herself either, “The serpent deceived me and I eat the fruit” Genesis 3:13. Both Adam and Eve sinned and didn’t repent from their sins and paid a high price that we all inherited.
Moral of the story: Blaming others for our errors isn’t the best way to make anyone to be a follower of the way. I wonder what God would have done to Adam and Eve if they would have regretted their decision to eat the forbidden fruit and asked for forgiveness. They didn’t, unfortunately.
Strive to sin less. If you sin, repent and observe which consequences you pay for sinning against God. When you pay attention to them, I bet that you will start to sin less. God “speak” with us this way. That fear that you feel when the lights are off when you are living a sinful life goes away when you start living a Godly life.
God is clear with His message, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. Consider living a less sinful life and follow the example of Christ. It starts with admitting our sins, everyone.
