“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14. Heated arguments, evil plans and be thirsty for revenge or war aren’t behaviors that are rooted in Christianity. Strive to live a peaceful life and live your life more like Jesus Christ in order to make God happy in the heavens.
I can’t understand why anyone would put pride ahead of prudence especially because the nature of prideful actions are always destructive. It was because of pride that the devil was expelled from heaven. It is because of pride that many get into hot water in this life. There is no shame with being meek and having your eyes centered in the Lord instead of yourself. I bet you that your life will be much more fulfilled.
“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8. “And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.” Isaiah 32:17. Celebrate God and change your ways! Lust, sexual immorality, impurity… All tricks of the devil to destroy you. “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.” Colossians 3:5.
Celebrate God all the days of your life. Choose good over evil. Flee from anger and disgust. Choose the righteous path that is narrow but the one that leads to the Lord. “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:14. Be one of these few! Love God with all your might and all of your soul.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength; this is the first commandment… There is none other commandment greater.” Mark 12:30-31. After loving God, love your neighbor as you love yourself as Jesus commanded. It it what are must do, even though many choose to be evil in nature. Don’t pay evil with evil but pray to God that your enemy’s fall not be too rough because the Lord does justice.
Listen to God not man… The former is true wisdom.
“…if anyone hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to them, and will sup with them, and they with Me.” Revelation 3:20. How do you gear God’s voice? First step, repent from your sins and do good. He will come to your life and talk when you least expect. That’s the nature of the Lord. Amazing grace.
Oh God, who am I in this life? A perishable collection of bones and flesh blindly walking without your guidance. It is because of you that I live and my spirit is deeply connected to you. My soul magnifies you because you are worth being magnified. Please bless us all and be merciful towards us. We aren’t anybody without you.
You are all of my reasons… You are all of our reasons.
