Can You Still Trust God?

You can always trust The Lord because “He is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8. The nature of God never changes because He is perfect. Throughout the times, we have been instructed to trust God and that God is trustworthy several times in scripture including the following verses written in the Hebrew Bible.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.”
-Proverbs 3:5-6

“Delight yourself in the LORD,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him, and he will act.”
-Psalm 37:4-5

“Our soul waits for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
For our heart is glad in him,
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.”
-Psalm 33:20-22

“You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”
-Isaiah 26:3-4

Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”
-Isaiah 12:2

“And those who know your name put
their trust in you,
for you, O LORD, have not forsaken
those who seek you.”
-Psalm 9:10

“When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?”
-Psalm 56:3-4

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose trust is the LORD.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
-Jeremiah 17:7-8

“The fear of man lays a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.”
-Proverbs 29:25

The Lord is trust. He is the one you can trust! “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.” Psalm 118:8. He is the one you can trust for forgiveness, “Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in Him.” Psalm 32:10.

You can trust God if you ask in faith according to His will, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1 John 5:14 and finally, you can trust God for forgiveness, “Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in Him.” Psalm 32:10.

On July 28th of this year, Cindy Dawson posted a wonderful quote in her blog, “Basically, there are two paths you can walk: faith or fear. It’s impossible to simultaneously trust God and not trust God” by Charles Stanley. Her mindset is correct and I like it very much.

Let me go one step further. Trusting God is the only possible way to living according to His will. Have faith my fellow brethren Christians and never under any circumstances question the mighty of God. Trust in Him and Him alone.

Yesterday, today and forever.
