Choose To Do Good

The time is always right to do good. It is good for men and women to not neglect doing good and sharing, to stimulate one another with love, it is indeed profitable for us all. Holy scripture is full of verses encouraging us to do good and live a life of service for others

In fact, the call for doing good is found in a number of Bible books throughout scripture. Clearly, God’s message is for us all to engage in what is good… glory be to God.

“Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.” Psalm 37:3.

“Depart from evil and do good, so you will abide forever.” Psalm 37:27.

“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.” Luke 6:35.

“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” Galatians 6:10.

“See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.” 1 Thessalonians 5:15.

“Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,” 1 Timothy 6:18.

“Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.” Titus 3:14.

“And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24.

“He must turn away from evil and do good;
He must seek peace and pursue it.” 1 Peter 3:1.

“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” Luke 6:27.

Do good! Now and forever. Remember: The time is always right to do good. You were made in the image of the living God. Let’s live a life of service to others. It’s what we are called to do.
