We Are Called To Have Humility In order To Receive The Prize

In Matthew 18 1-5, we learn that he spirit of a little children is how we must be in our core in order to see God — “At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”

One of the most important lessons that a person can learn is to understand the importance of practicing humility. God has given us a clear directive to be like little children — to be humble. Easier said than done to make folks out there. It means more God, less self — More others less me. It means what it is: humility.

Let me repeat what is written in scripture in here for a second for our benefit, “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3.

If we aspire to be in heaven, we must follow God’s command. The message is very clear — We must be humble like children among other requirements. It’s a tough but nonetheless a requirement component that we all must met for salvation.

My advise: Read this article again and engage in self reflection. Let God’s words sink in and ask yourselves… Am I like little children in spirit or is pride dominating my life? Be aware of your own behaviors. It’s necessary.
