Be thankful for everything that the Lord gives you. Love God with all your heart and soul and let the word of God be stamped inside of your heart because gratitude for the chance to live is a God’s gift. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:15-17.
Opportunities come our way because God wants them to come. It’s God’s grace when in trueness, we just don’t deserve it. Let’s be real and fair if we may. Can humans really follow the 10 commandments of God? I say no, especially after Jesus explained that simply thinking about an act of sin (like committing adultery by the act of looking at others with a lustful heart) is indeed sinful and forbidden
Instead of complaining about life and blaming others for your misfortunes and deciding to engage in egoistic pursuits for the sake of individualism, how about recognizing that the Lord is in control and that what is given to us is literally a purposeful gift given by the creator through grace. Since we live in a fallen world full of people who choose to deviate from God’s ways, we (the people of God) are to be the light of the world or that city on the hill that cannot be hid as we read in Matthew 5:14-16 and celebrate God by being thankful.
God doesn’t owe us anything. On the other hand, we owe God a debt that can’t be payed back. Have you thought about the amount of sins that you have committed in your whole life? How about the sinful actions that resulted from your sins? Clearly, God doesn’t owes us anything! Think about it.
Be thankful. Give glory to God. Love God with all your heart and soul . Whatever comes our way, it comes from God. We sinned but God decided to forgive our sinful actions. That’s the ultimate display of love, don’t you think? Be grateful for everything that goes your way. I’m grateful and always will be grateful about what Jesus gives us.
Only God can save. Remember that. 🙂
