“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.
Time is what we all got, regardless of how much money we have in our banking accounts. Time allows us to share the gospel with others. In Ephesians 5:16 we learn, “Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Use time to do good, to make God the center of your life, time is what allows us to think, act, react, pray, share and learn.
Time, time, and more time. “Only if I had time for this, only if we have time for that.” Well, we do have it, if we think about it. It’s a matter of where we want to put our riches in, as Christ stated on the sermon on the mount.
How much have you thought about time lately? Life is short, time is limited but need is infinite. God’s love is to celebrate beyond the boundaries of time but overtime, we shall see God.
The truth is that we have the time to do great things for the Lord. All we need to do is to prioritize. Should God’s work be secondary or primary? Primary.
Much work needs to be done including building the kingdom, helping the poor, loving each other and being a voice for justice in this unjust world.
