Today was the first time that I went out after my debilitating accident this past Tuesday. Although in still much pain and full of bruises, we decided to go to the Cheaha State Park to float in their well kept lake. My neck is out of place, shoulder frozen, lower back hurting but inside of me, I’m smiling because the Lord has saved me.
Seeing my wife and daughter today jumping and having fun was good for my psyche. I appreciate the gift of eye sight that God has given us to witness His glory and grace. Who are we without God? I’m nobody, that’s for sure.
In the bible we learn that, “The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10.
I shout and praise Him at the highest mountain and in faith I trust that He will restore my physical body and mind overtime. Lord willing, the concussion effects and the body injuries that I acquired after the 55+ MPH accident of this Tuesday, will cease soon. Our God takes care of us and in His name we shall be saved.
Only God knows the future. He is a God of today, yesterday and tomorrow. In trust I wait patiently for my recovery. Glory be to God! The Lord watches over us in times of distress and in His time, brings us to salvation.
