Choose Good Over Evil Acts

In 3 John 11 we learn, “Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.”

We are called to do good and flee from evil. To support others rather than to seek selfish ambitions, to serve instead of being served. We are to be the light of the world.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16.

We are to be different, to love others, and be God’s army in this imperfect world. We are the salt of the world but if our salt isn’t salty, what is then our real value?

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” Matthew 5:13.

“Go and do likewise!” Luke 10:37.

Choose good over evil acts. Let your life be a testimony of God’s love. In Him we shall trust. Who are we without Him?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. You can do all things, as well. Believe and be eager to do good to others. With God’s help, it’s possible.

Do it!
