My God! You’ve Given Me So Much When I Don’t Deserve The Air That I Breathe…

I’m a little over three hours from being 46 years of age. Much is going through my head right now. All of it very good… I’m not a youngster anymore. The Lord has guided my ways in every way, I can see it — The experiences that I had it or not, the books He gave me to read, the people He put in my patch (both the good and not so good), as well as my innate abilities especially exhortation.

I’m thankful for everything, literally…

I just inputed my wife, daughter and I into a photo taken by my parents in Atlanta, after working the whole day in a research article. Over the weekend, I’ve comforted a Lee University golf team member and he shot five (-5) under part in a competition in Florida. Today, I’ve written another research article relating to social media. Tomorrow, I will be designing a full website for a church in town followed by composing a song for a friend.

My God! How good you have been to me when I don’t deserve the air that I breathe.

And you thought me how to write… Poems included. “I Will See You Again.”

I Will See You Again

I was old you were young

In a very bumpy road far from the sea

Against all the odds we met

You and I know it just can’t be

Fourteen years apart we were made

To live a life of greatness for God’s glory

Yesterday, today and tomorrow

It’s just part of our story

I hear a magical flute playing outside

It must be a bird, it stopped… it must be a sign

Too much thinking is being done here I say

The music has come to a stop today. But hey!

Sadness is taking control of the sky

I ask God why? I hear you say good bye

Not to worry… One day, if I may…

I will see you in Tampa Bay.

The future is a gift to be discovered

That is only shown to the finest of men

Things come and go but they do have an end

Not to worry bro. I will see you again.

Among many other gifts, I say. Much discernment you’ve given to me and the ability to forgive and have hope. I wonder, what is next? What do you really want from me? I think you are showing it to me right now.

I opened the bible… It reads, “… raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth…” You are the salvation of the world, my God. I hear your call…

Going back to basics, for now. In adoration, I will do your will. Why do you bless me so much? Nothing bothers me… I feel your protection. You’ve put a shield in our household. Thy will be done, always…

It’s 9:20pm. It’s time to pray and reflect what yesterday was and what tomorrow will be. Life is a mystery but with you, everything is possible. So help me God.
