I’m an immigrant — A legal immigrant now a citizen of the United States of America. I help young minds to develop and mature in order to find employment in this country and think for themselves. America pay less in welfare costs because an immigrant, me in this case, helps the American youth to be more responsible and productive members of society.
I say the following..
Stop blaming immigrants for the tragic events that happen in this country! Stop thinking that just because illegal immigrants are “subsidies” to the American business community, as economist Wolff would say, that all immigrants are made the same.
Some immigrants are in fact American citizens, you know? Not everybody is a criminal. Some, in fact, contribute to the development of the United States in a wide variety of ways. How so, some of you may be asking? This is how.
Immigrants start businesses. Immigrants are 30 percent more likely to start a business in the United States than non-immigrants, and 18 percent of all small business owners in the United States are own by immigrants. Stop and think about the former for a minute… Eventually immigrant businesses… next line.
Create jobs for American workers. According to the Fiscal Policy Institute, immigrant enterprises employed almost five million Americans generating around 776 billion each year. Did you know that?
Immigrants create their own jobs. According the U.S. Department of Labor, 7.5 percent of immigrants work for themselves compared to 6.6 percent among born Americans. Interesting…
Immigrants develop top organizations and invent life changing modern technologies. According to the National Venture Capital Association, immigrants have started a fourth of all major corporate enterprises given by a venture capital funding source including intel, google and eBay. Stunning.
Let’s not forget that immigrants help America with rejuvenating its population and procreating resulting in a much needed increase in the country’s demographics which in turn assist the nation to actually exist. Do you know that many countries in Western Europe, along with Russia… have declining populations? Russia has an immigration issue. They lack immigrants… how can Russia exist in 3017 without people?
Immigrants contribute to the development of the United States. They start businesses, create jobs for Americans and themselves and sometimes start big organizations in this country.
The former is an undeniable fact. Do the following, if you are not doing it already, if you please.
Treat an immigrant with respect today. They deserve to be treated as well as you do. No excuses…
Remember: Who knows? Tomorrow, you may be working for one of them.
