When Pride Comes, Then Comes Disgrace

“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom” (Proverbs: 11:2). The bible also teaches us that the Lord detests men of perverse heart and that the wicked will not go unpunished… We serve a just God indeed, ladies and gentleman. Don’t let pride corrupt your character making you into an evil person.

God speaks to me, in the depths of my brain not via text messaging.

I hear his voice through the holy spirit, I must add. He gives me the discernment to identify who is a friend and who is a foe, danger from a safe place, what is gossip and what is truth, and what is fair and what is unjust and the many faces of pride.

The Lord loves me. He loves you, as well. God shows me who is prideful. Be careful with pride brethren, Much pain comes from pride, either directly or indirectly. Because of pride, former angels were expelled from the heavens. In essence, pride makes some think that they are better than others, violating God’s law making a person wicked and a sinner. “Haughty eyes and a proud heart—the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin” (Proverbs 21:4).

It brings disgrace nevertheless… “Don’t boast about tomorrow because you don’t know what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1) and never forget that “A man’s pride brings him low but a man of lowly spirit gains honor” (Proverbs 29:33). It pays off to be humble and follow God’s commands. Anyone who is consumed by pride will not inherit the kingdom of God, let’s not forget that.

Pride is a killer. Don’t let pride rob what God has promised for your life. God hates any variation of pride and won’t wait much to punish the prideful. We are to be sons and daughters of God who love others, away from prideful thinking. The moment that pride consumes you, you can only think about yourself which is literally the opposite of what God wants us to do in this world.

My advice: Love God, be humble, don’t be prideful in any way. That’s the wise thing to do, I say.
