There Will Be A “Wall” And Mexican Workers Will Pay For It

There will be a “wall” to protect the US/Mexico border against illegal immigration and Mexican workers will pay for it. Mexican workers? Yep. Let me explain…

Mexican workers, working for American corporations in Mexico, will help generate enough profit for American companies to invest in corporate research and development which in turn will help those corporations to create the very best automated systems our capitalist system has ever seen! Systems that will literally automate a large number of mundane jobs which will eventually decrease the demand for cheap labor in America.

Illegal immigrants, or any type of immigrant for that matter, immigrate to the United States because of opportunity. If opportunity is very scarce due to high levels of automation, why would anyone come here? There wouldn’t be a need, right?

It’s a profit game! By doing the former, American corporations would solve the problem of illegal immigration by creating a “virtual wall” between the countries through technology yet increasing profit gains. It’s a win-win situation for big companies, if you think about it. It’s bad business for workers including illegals.

Automation, I suspect, will be the “wall” between Mexico and  the United States. For many years, illegal immigration policies have served as a subsidy for big corporations in this country. No wonder why our borders are more open than they should. Advances in technology, automation specifically, will change that, I bet.

Through a capitalist system operating logic, we can deduce that if a company can replace an employee (illegal ones, for example) with a machine and still increase profit margins, cheap labor then becomes irrelevant to the corporation’s operation. We can also deduce that a slow rate of government deregulation and a shy corporate automation adoption cycle will likely result in an operation to be moved overseas (not necessarily to China) in order for big businesses to save in labor costs enhancing their chances to make a big profit before automation is fully implemented.

Either way, the American worker… immigrant or not, loses job security in the end. Illegal workers will quickly realize that there is de facto a “wall” between Mexico and the US, and will stop migrating to our country. Think about it.

Here is the irony, though.  Illegal immigrants may be a big problem for many. They don’t pay federal income taxes but they surely pay sales and help landlords to pay their own share of property taxes. Let’s not forget that companies paying employees under the table don’t have to pay for social security, either.

What makes America a country with a future is partly due to its rate of demographic growth which immigration helps with it quite a lot. Countries with an immigration problem, like Russia for example, will find themselves in trouble over time. How can a country sustain itself without people of working age? Aging populations are expensive and unproductive.

This generation of Mexicans will pay for the “wall” that will exist between Mexico and us, I think. Trump is a businessman, remember that… It’s a profit game! For many years, immigration has served as a subsidy for big corporations in this country in order to keep their prices low and therefore be able to compete globally with other countries.

The “wall” is coming soon, ladies and gents. I think I see it coming already.
