A Chat About The Nikon P900 Camera

The Nikon P900 is a cool camera that I don’t plan to return to Best Buy anytime soon. The camera’s versatility and weight, it’s monster zoom range, and it’s capacity to produce pretty cool street photography shots makes me a fan of this piece of technology. I’m not saying, however, that this camera is a perfect fit for everybody or that you can get tack sharp photographs with this point and shoot camera. The camera is good for what it’s wort, I must add. .

It’s nice to go for a trip with only one camera bag, camera body and lens (with a 24-2000mm range), battery, and charger. The camera is light and allows photographers to hold the camera body steady even at 600 focal length without being tired in the process. What a treat!

This camera has a monster 2000mm range and it’s awesome. You can take a photo of the moon, It’s a fact. I recommend using a tripod for best results. The camera was introduced in 2015 but for the price, you can still do a lot with it even today in 2019. It’s street photography photo output is stellar.

Taking photos of moving objects can be pretty challenging with the P900. Since the camera is a point and shoot possessing a small digital sensor, image quality isn’t as sharp as a regular DSLR but advanced photo post-production can make P900 photographs look awesome to many.

The camera buffer is slow as well as the optical zoom. There is no raw photo option and the viewfinder is C grade. The auto functions of this camera are pretty good in the majority of settings. I’ve found the 1080 HD video to look really sharp and colorful.

Overall, the Nikon P900’s is a camera you may want to play with. I won’t return this one, as most of the shoots I do are for clothing photography making, digital art. You can do a lot with this camera, including getting photos that you otherwise won’t be able to get under normal conditions. It’s a cool tool to own it but just realize that image quality (tack sharp) isn’t always attainable with this camera. Nevertheess, Its worth buying, in my opinion.
