Instead of spending countless hours on a smartphone or my laptop, I made the decision to train my body to endure a half marathon race next year. I must admit that setting this goal came as a surprise to me but at 45… I’m starting to realize that our health is much more important than many people may think it is.
Right now, I can walk and run a 5K without a problem but I’m far from running a 21K without passing out in the process. As the proverb says… “If there is a will, there is a way.” By allocating time to exercising instead of looking at Facebook at hours on end, I think that any healthy individual should have the capacity to running a half marathon.
I will try, that’s for sure. I’m on my way to running a half marathon. Wish me luck!
