The Fool Multiplies Words.

“The beginning of the words of his mouth is folly… the fool multiple words” (Ecclesiastes 10:13-14). “Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles. Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline” (Proverbs 1:5-7). “Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something” (Plato).

God called us to be wise. The way to wisdom is fearing God not being the owner of our destiny based on what we want to believe outside of scripture. There are many who are constantly opening their mouths without doing too much thinking. The former isn’t how a Christian should operate. The believer must be prudent with choosing his words. “Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues” (Proverbs 10:19).

Scripture teaches us of an evil that happens under the sun (Ecclesiastes 10:5) — “The fool is appointed to great heights…” But lets not forget that the Lord judges both the jews and and gentiles according to what they have done (Romans 2:6). Brothers and sisters, you will find injustice in this world and even fools will reach positions of great authority. Don’t envy their privileged positions or try to justify your circumstances according to what happen to others.

“Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin” (Proverbs 13:3). Remember that.
