“When you make a vow to God, don’t delay fulfilling it, because He doesn’t delight in fools Fulfill what you vow. Better that you do not vow than that you vow and not fulfill it” (Ecclesiastics 5:4).
We need to be very careful with making a vow to God. Scripture is pretty clear about it. As children of God, we need to fear God and His commands. We need to obey and keep in mind that the good God is in control. Let’s not be impulsive. Rather, we should be rational and glorify God all the days of our lives. “Do not let your mouth bring guilt on you” (Ecclesiastics 5:6). We need to think before we act. Before making an actual vow to God, pray about it.
God is good, all the time.

Also, should “*his* commands” be “*His* commands”? And should the line “we need to obey and keep in mind that the good God *in on* control” be “…that the good God *is in* control”?
