Be Very Careful — Many False Prophets Will Rise Up.

In Matthews 24:11 we learn, “Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” Brethren, be aware and cautious. Many will come in the name of Christ and will deceive you. Remember: You know the brethren by their fruits. “We shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Matthew 7:16). The bible is clear about the conditions for somebody to be a pastor. Some of these conditions are:

  • “…But hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined.” (Titus 1:8).
  • Not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.” (1 Timothy 3:3).
  • “For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain” (Titus 1:7).

And many other categories… Think and reflect. Can you see the snake? Be aware… Pray and do what is God’s will.
